This section of the lining is a modernized version of the serially produced section of the K4 roof support, which is widely used in the conditions of JSC Belaruskali.

To improve a number of parameters, the specialists of the branch of UPE “Niva” – “Mining Equipment Plant” together with the specialists of Belaruskali JSC carried out work to collect and analyze information about all the shortcomings and advantages identified during the operation of the K4 support section for the entire time of its use across all mining departments.

After collecting the necessary data and analyzing them, a concept for a new lining section was developed. First of all, the changes were aimed at improving consumer qualities and improving safety during operation: increased reliability of nodes; increased resource of power hydraulics; increased maintainability of the section; the range of spare parts has been significantly reduced due to unification.

A number of new solutions implemented in the K4M section have already passed unit-by-unit performance tests with positive results.

Currently, the K4M roof support is undergoing a series of certification tests in an independent testing laboratory, and already from the 2nd quarter of 2022, branch of UPE “Niva” – “Mining Equipment Plant”, will be ready for mass production of the new section.
