The substation is designed to convert high-voltage alternating current into low voltage and distribute the load between electrical receivers installed in underground workings that are hazardous for gas (methane) or dust, as well as to provide protection for low voltage lines.
Type of explosion protection “intrinsically safe electrical circuit” for external control and protection circuits is provided with level ib according to GOST 31610.11-2014.
The substation has the types of explosion protection “explosion-proof enclosure” in accordance with GOST IEC 60079-1-2013, which withstands the pressure of an explosion of a methane-air mixture inside, excluding the transfer of an explosion to the environment and “intrinsically safe electrical circuit” in accordance with GOST 31610.11-2014, and also meets the general requirements for explosion-proof electrical equipment according to GOST 31610.0-2014.
